I had a similar random produce sighting. I was driving alone with few other cars around me on the freeway and entered the chute to merge onto 80 - a single lane high above the freeway interchange with walls on either side covered in skid marks because of the sharp turn. A dozen, or so, very large round pomelos were rolling down the chute alongside my car. A view of blue sky and water, black road, and bright yellow balls. For a sec I thought I might be very small and inside a pinball machine with yellow marbles.

I did once walk by a huge head of broccoli with the florets cut off propped on top of a parking meter along the Embarcadero. I took a photo, but alas, it has been deleted.

An orchestrated life. I agree. Cast of characters-I agree. I had something happen to me in late 2016 and it sort of opened my eyes and other things--where I began to see things differently. Like life was orchestrated--a script--a cast of characters. I think someone wanted life to be like a "fairytale" and it probably was, but it really wasn't. We can possibly create a fairytale world for ourselves, but someone will always want to enter our storyline. At times the orchestration can be a positive thing--but sometimes it is not a positive. We can cross our t(s) and dot our i(s) and a wrench can be thrown into the mix. However, we need to laugh no matter what--and find laughter in the odd.
